Guide
How to share wedding details with guests living abroad
Send the date early
Guests abroad need time for leave, flights and sometimes visas. Send a Save the Date three to four months ahead, earlier for winter weddings when fares rise.
Put everything on one link
Overseas guests can't call around for directions. A single invitation link with every function, venue map and dress note saves dozens of messages.
Write times in IST, clearly
Show each time as Indian Standard Time. Add to calendar converts it to the guest's own time zone automatically.
Help with travel
- Name the nearest airport and how long it takes to the venue.
- Suggest a couple of hotels near the venue.
- Mention the weather and what to wear for each function.
Make the RSVP easy
Ask for arrival dates and the number of guests, so you can plan pickups and rooms.
Include them in the story
Guests who can't come still want to feel part of it. Your story, photos and pre-wedding film let them share the moment from Toronto, London or Dubai.
Questions
Will the invitation work outside India?
Yes. It's a web page, so it opens anywhere with an internet connection, and WhatsApp links work worldwide.
